Beaded Earrings and Necklaces

Earrings are made up of Gemstones, Sterling Silver, Christian, Wire, Semi precious stones, Stiletto, Swarovski Crystal, Birthstones and Pearls. There are lovely chandelier-earrings available made of Czech stones cut into amazing shapes which make you look pure and feminine. If you want to make your earrings yourself you would require the following:
•2 headpins or eye pins
•2 ear wires
•Beads which you like
•Round nose pliers.
The beads are put in the headpin and if required are placed with spacer beads in between which are metallic. Once you are done with the beading, with the help of a pair of round-nose pliers, bend the pin to a loop. So this is the way the earrings are made. They are cheap and also can be made with all kinds of colored beads.

Beaded Necklaces

To make a beaded necklace a wire of medium length is required and a loop is to be made with a pair of round-nosed pliers. Some beads are to be put leaving enough wire for the finishing loop. If required Spacer beads can be used in between the beads. Chains and clasps can be added to the necklace. You can use different colors and sizes to make this necklace, which would be simple yet, stylish. It is always better to buy more beads when making a necklace since they always require more beads. You can also mix and match beads of different sizes and colors.

Beaded Bracelets

To make a beaded bracelet the requirement of wire would be less and it needs to be cut with the diameter of your wrist in mind. In case of bracelets you can use bigger beads and the brightest colors so that it gives a fuller look. Use multiple colors for one bracelet so that it can compliment at least two or three outfits. Instead of a wire you can use a colorful thread and transparent beads so that the colorful thread is seen through, that gives quite a dramatic effect. Trinkets can also be attached to the bracelets, little hanging ones that are the latest trend among teenagers. Loops can also be added to the beads. If your beaded bracelet matches your beaded necklace, nothing like it. You can also make a beaded necklace, and loop it so that it gives a braided look.

Tips on How to Write a Rhyming Couplet Poem

Tip # 1
Rhyming couplets are the easiest to write, provided you are careful while choosing a subject. To make your couplet sound gripping, a good idea is to choose a topic which many people find interesting. At the same time, the topic chosen should be such that people do not actually think about or ponder over much! This way, you can be assured that they would be interested in reading what you have come up with!

Tip # 2
Since you have just a couple of lines to express your whole idea, do not choose a subject which is very vast. For instance, if you choose life, you might not be able to express it in two lines. However, if you choose something like beauty of a flower, you can bring out the idea quite well in just two lines!

Tip # 3
When writing rhyming couplets, the commonest mistake budding poets make is to use very regular and obvious rhyming words, such as June with moon, or worse, cat with mat. Anyone can use such words, even a ten year old! So, strictly avoid these, and instead, use some unique, unusual rhyming words, which lend weightage to what you have written, and make the couplet sound intelligent!

Tip # 4
To make your rhyming couplets sound more lyrical and well-coordinated, keep the syllable count same in the first and the second line! First of all, write both the lines, which bring forth the idea that you want to express. Thereafter, try and adjust the syllable count. If you are able to pull this off, it will make a world of difference to your rhyming couplet.

Tip # 5
You will be surprised to know that you can form a full-fledged poem by combining your couplets! So, write around six couplets on the same subject, and then combine them together to form a twelve-line poem! You may go through how to write a rhyming poem, to get a better idea. Secondly, since you are writing a couplet, why not try writing a sonnet too? All you have to do for this is to write four lines instead of two, and make the alternate lines rhyme to one another, i.e. the rhyming scheme should be A.B.A.B.

Here’s hoping that these tips help you get started on the journey to write your own rhyming couplets. One last advice on the same before I sign off – do not ever make your rhyming scheme sound predictable, as it will lend an artificiality to your couplet. Remember, being unusual, being different and unique, is the key to writing beautiful poetry!

Military Inspired Fashion Trends

Headgear
Be it a bucket hat (like the one shown in the picture) or a cap, or a beret – military hats are bound to give you that edge. They are a cut above the rest, and look absolutely smart, be it a man or a woman wearing it. Military inspired headgear comes in different forms and colors – from the typical military camouflage print, to the typical military green color, to brown, and sometimes even black. Berets look especially stylish in the winters, while a bucket cap looks cool and trendy in the summers. No matter what the season, you will always find a reason to wear a cap, and hence military print head-gear will never go out-of-fashion. You do not just wear a military cap, you make a statement.

Aviators
Top Gun sure did popularize the aviators like no other movie ever could. But from times even before that movie, aviators have been popularized by militia. They say, only a really royal person can wear an aviator and not look stupid. Now that I know to be a fact! You need to have a broad face to carry off the typical aviator shaped sunglasses. But worry not, my friend, for different variations of the classic aviator sunglasses for those with a smaller, round face, are also available now. They bear the essence of the classic aviators, but are crafted to suit the small round face too.

Shirts
Military print shirts are probably the most common of the different military inspired fashion trends. Men usually wear a plus-size military shirt and a clean white vest inside (drool!). Women, on the other hand, can tie up the front of the shirt instead of buttoning it down, and can wear a black spaghetti inside. Looks absolutely gorgeous. Team the above look with an old worn-out pair of jeans, and it’s almost perfect. Military shirts are also quite a favorite among campers and nature lovers. A trip into the forest most definitely calls for an outfit that includes military print clothes. It helps you merge with the forest background, and remain invisible to the animals and birds. It is the perfect camouflage. In fact that is the reason why military uniforms are moss green in color and have the distinct military print on them.

Bottoms
From shorts, to cargo, to baggy pants to trousers to capris – military print bottoms look absolutely funky. Team them up with a clean white or a black tee, and pair it up with military boots (or even canvas shoes for that matter) – and there is a look that you just cannot resist! You can work up this look for a number of different occasions – a road-trip, a camp, a trek, a study-tour at college, or a rock concert. Military inspired shirts and bottoms go especially well on nature trails, or during safaris. The military print on the clothing acts as a beautiful camouflage, and allows you to get up close with animals in their wild natural habitat.

How to Make a Necktie

Step 1: Drawing the Patterns
The first step is to draw the outline of the tie pattern on the silk fabric as well as the interlining. Take the silk fabric and spread it on a flat surface such as a table. Now take the tie pattern and place it along one edge of the fabric and draw the outline on the wrong side of the fabric using the marking pencil. If you get the pattern for a four fold necktie, then you’d have four patterns in all and you are required to trace three of these patterns on the silk fabric and the fourth pattern on the interlining fabric.

Step 2: Cutting the Fabric
Once you have the outlines made on the fabric, use scissors or a rotary cutter to cut out the pieces for the tie. You’ll have five pieces of silk fabric and one piece of the interlining fabric. While cutting, remember to cut at an angle of 45 degrees to the selvage. Carefully cut out fabric pieces for tipping, the keeper and also the piece of interlining fabric. Make sure that there are no feathered edges as you cut. At this point, note that the correct size and fit of the interlining or inlay material is essential for you to be able to easily tie the necktie into the desired knot.

Step 3: Sewing the Tippings
The first step in sewing the tie is to sew the tippings to both ends of the tie. While doing so, hold the tippings such that the right side of both, the triangular tipping as well as the main part of the tie are facing one another. Once you have sewn the tippings to both the ends of the tie, turn the ends inside out. The right side of the fabric is now visible. Apply a little pressure with your fingers to make the edges smooth.

Step 4: Sewing the Tie
Once the tippings are in place, your next task is to simply stitch the three main parts of the tie together. After that, take the piece of interlining fabric and place it inside the tie. Since we are making a four fold tie, we need to fold the tie four times. This is done by first folding the tie twice to the centerline. Use silk pins to secure the folds together before you begin stitching. If you wish, you can sew in a keeper to hold the ends of the tie together. Select the thread in a color that closely matches the shade of the fabric of the tie and using a needle, carefully go on stitching as you remove the pins. However, make sure you do not end up stitching through the tie!
